Karel Deseure conducts the South Netherlands Philharmonic during the final round of the Dutch International Flute Competition for master and bachelor students on Friday, April 17 at 2:00 pm (free entrance).

In April we welcome almost 100 participants from all over the world, divided into the student categories: master students, bachelor students, young talents and piccolo students. 

The final rounds are organized during the 15th Adams Flute Festival: visit the concerts and masterclasses and congratulate Sir James Galway on his 80th birthday!

Wereldpremière (world premiere)

Op zaterdag 7 maart speelt Ilonka Kolthof (bekend van de Dutch Piccolo Project) de wereldpremière van 'La canzone del piccolo uccellino' (Het lied van de kleine vogel) voor piccolo en vibrafoon gecomponeerd door Mathilde Wantenaar.

De première is om 14:00 uur in Factorium Tilburg (gratis toegang). Daarna spelen de deelnemers van het Benelux Fluitconcours deze compositie als verplicht werk tijdens de finale.

Met dank aan het belangeloos ter beschikking stellen van de vibrafoon door Adams Muziekcentrale. 

De juryleden zijn Ilonka Kolthof, Peter Verhoyen, Astrid Gallez en Dorine Schade. Tijdens het slotconcert rond 16:30 uur maken zij de uitslag bekend.
