15th Dutch International Flute Competition

Are you a bachelor or master flute student, piccolo student or are you a young talent? Then register for your own category. Every year, more than 150 flute students from 25 different countries and all continents participate in this competition. In 2026 we will organize a traverso competition again.

We offer you a well-organized competition, a great festival and the opportunity to gain contacts for life...

January 1, 2025: closing date for online registration
February 1, 2025: closing date for submitting all videos
March 1, 2025: announcement of the participant selection
April 22 & 23, 2025: 2nd round (live)
April 24, 2025: 3rd round (live)
April 25, 2025: rehearsal day (and start of the festival)
April 26, 2025: Grand finale for bachelor and master students with orchestra
April 26, 2025: concert with the prize winners and orchestra
April 26, 2025:
final round piccolo students
April 27, 2025: final round young talents
June 4, 2025: concert in the recital hall of the Concertgebouw Amsterdam

3rd Dutch International Piccolo Competition

In 2025 we will organize the 3rd Dutch International Piccolo Competition with great compulsory pieces: 

Online preliminary round:  
- Compulsory piece for piccolo and piano: Jan van der Roost, Sonatina Piccola (De Haske)  
- Compulsory solo piece: Gabriel Malancioiu, Aulino (Universal Edition): Mvts 1 Pico-dico, 2 Tremo-Goulash, 3 Ups and Hickups  

Live final round:
 
- Compulsory piece for piccolo and piano: Levente Gyongyosi, Piccolo Sonata (Universal Edition)  
- Compulsory solo piece: Wilfried Westerlinck, Meeting a Mockingbird in Texas (Metropolis Edition)
