3rd Dutch International Piccolo Competition
In 2025 we will organize the 3rd Dutch International Piccolo Competition with great compulsory pieces:
Online preliminary round: - Compulsory piece for piccolo and piano: Jan van der Roost, Sonatina Piccola (De Haske) - Compulsory solo piece: Gabriel Malancioiu, Aulino (Universal Edition): Mvts 1 Pico-dico, 2 Tremo-Goulash, 3 Ups and Hickups
Live final round: - Compulsory piece for piccolo and piano: Levente Gyongyosi, Piccolo Sonata (Universal Edition) - Compulsory solo piece: Wilfried Westerlinck, Meeting a Mockingbird in Texas (Metropolis Edition)

9th Dutch International Flute Competition for young talents
For the 9th time the young talents category is part of the Dutch International Flute Competition. This category is divided into two age groups: up to and including 13 years-old and age 14 up to and including 18 years-old. These young talents are the soloists of the future!
Every year we introduce new compulsory works:
Category young talents up to and including 13 year-olds: Gabriel Fauré, Berceuse or Franz Danzi, Sonatine in D major and a piece for flute solo of your own choice.
Category young talents age 14 up to and including 18 year-olds: Gabriel Fauré, Sicilienne or Josef Rheinberger, Rhapsodie and a piece for flute solo of your own choice.

15th Dutch International Flute Competition for students
Are you a bachelor or master flute student, piccolo student or are you a young talent? Then register for your own category. Every year, more than 150 flute students from 25 different countries and all continents participate in this competition. In 2026 we will organize a traverso competition again.
We offer you a well-organized competition, a great festival and the opportunity to gain contacts for life...
January 1, 2025: closing date for online registration February 1, 2025: closing date for submitting all videos March 1, 2025: announcement of the participant selection April 22 & 23, 2025: 2nd round (live) April 24, 2025: 3rd round (live) April 25, 2025: rehearsal day (and start of the festival) April 26, 2025: Grand finale for bachelor and master students with orchestra April 26, 2025: concert with the prize winners and orchestra April 26, 2025: final round piccolo students April 27, 2025: final round young talents June 4, 2025: concert in the recital hall of the Concertgebouw Amsterdam lees meer/read more |

The compulsory pieces for the Grand Finale with orchestra in 2025 are:
Bachelor students: Charles T. Griffes, Poem for flute and string orchestra
Master students: Joseph Jongen, Sonata op.77, mvt 1, mvt 2, mvt 4

18th International Adams Flute Festival
For 3 days we immerse ourselves again in an international group of flute players, beginners, amateurs, students and professionals, to gain new experiences, to exchange ideas, to get lessons, to play along, to test, to catch up, to listen to concerts and the competition, in short: to dive into a colourful world of like-minded people.
Save the date: ticket sale will start on Januari 15th at 10:00 am (CET). Make sure you are on time because the tickets will sell out very quickly! We hope to see you again during the festival.
