Sign up for the 1st Dutch Low Flutes Competition from November 1 to 3, 2024
At the Low Flutes Competition, we promote all low flutes: from the alto flute to the subcontrabass flute. Both amateurs and professionals can register.
We use the following categories, which can be combined or expanded:
- Flute ensembles with at least half low flutes
- Only low flutes: from solo with electronics to ensemble
- Ensembles with other types of instruments and at least 2 low flutes
- Flute orchestras with at least 8 players and low flutes
During the competition, you have 20 minutes to perform your favorite piece(s) of music.
You can register online until October 1 by using the application button.
We don’t just bring you here for the competition; you can also enjoy all the activities at the Adams Low Flutes Festival in Ittervoort (Limburg).
On Friday, November 1, we organize a preliminary round. The final day is on Saturday, November 2. A selection of participants may perform at the lunch concert on Sunday, November 3.
Every participant receives a nice memento. Additionally, we also award prizes:
- Vouchers for a workshop with a low flutes specialist
- Vouchers for a maintenance session for your low flute
- Participation in the lunch concert on Sunday, November 3
Our jury members are internationally renowned:
The jury members provide feedback afterwards, taking into account your playing experience and age. You will also receive a participation certificate.
The registration fee is €30 per participant. For ensembles with more than 8 players, the fee is €25 per participant. When registering, transfer this amount to NL22 RABO 0323 9354 27 in the name of Stichting Nationaal Fluitconcours, stating your name and ensemble. The registration fee cannot be refunded if you do not participate.
Please note that photo and audio recordings may be made, which we can use to promote our activities on our website, social media, and printed materials. When registering, you can give or withhold permission for this. If you are a minor, your parents or guardians must give permission. You are not allowed to distribute photo and audio material of other participants.
You are responsible for your belongings during the competition days.
